The LO Lions Club is out today for donations. Please consider giving them a donation. The money honestly goes to amazing places and families. My son has gone to the Lions Bear Lake Camp in Lapeer since he was 8 yrs old and is now a camp counselor. This camp makes it possible for children with disabilities to attend a 2 week camp for only $50 per week thanks to the Lions Club. It has made such a positive impact on my sons and other children that are visually impaired, blind, hearing impaired and deaf lives.

My son was awarded this scholarship last year. It is a very generous annual scholarship and we are so grateful. Part of the award is that the Lions Club invites the students to their meeting. The members are so gracious and kind. My son felt truly heard by them and had a wonderful evening. Thank you Lions Club. You do such wonderful work for our community in so many various ways

This is Gabby. She just picked up her new glasses today with much thanks to the Lake Orion Lions Club. She has to wear special glasses that are very costly. Thank you for helping us with that. 🥰 The world is a better place because of people like you. You are appreciated!!!

Every month lately the Lake Orion Lions Club has been getting a $15 donation from this woman and we didn't know why. We sent her an email to ask if there was a connection to a deceased family member or some other reason she supports us. Here is the response:

Hi Roger,
The best Christmas of my childhood was made possible by your organization. We were struggling to make it in the late ‘60s, early 70’s. The donation of food and presents still makes me smile through teary eyes. It was not easy being a child facing poverty. I will be forever grateful to the Lions Club—I was also given new glasses in the 5th grade. 
As soon as I can I plan on increasing my monthly donation. I’m almost 69 years old and I can still feel the excitement of that Christmas! Warmly,
