Christmas Basket Program
provides baskets of food and gifts for families and seniors in the area. Each year the community pitches in donatin canned goods, boxed foods and paper product. Thes items are sorted out and the lub members and volunters fill boses and baskets with food to match the needs of the reeipents. Eveything is pachaged one day and delivered the next.
Project Kidsight

Project Kidsight is a free vision screening program for children from ages one to five. The goal is to prevent blindness through early detection and referral for treatment of eye disorder. A camera to take a photograph of the child, a variety of eye problems can be immediately identified and information provided to the parents.

Members of the club dress in their Christmas attire and provide lunch and gifts to the special education center.

Eyeglasses and Hearing Aid Assistance
Used eyeglasses are collected by Lions and recycled at ten Lions Eyeglass Recycling Centers throughout the world. The used eyeglasses are cleaned, repaired and classified by prescription. The eyeglasses are then distributed to those in need by Lion volunteers and other organizations with optical missions in developing countries.

Our club membership includes singles, married couples, young families and retirees. They not only reside in Lake Orion but all over Oakland County. We have different life and work experiences, different levels of volunteerism but all come together to better our community under our motto "We Serve."
